The story of the Bohemian Forest interior made from old trees.
The handcrafted interior of the attic apartment will enchant you. At the same time, it's something that's hard to describe in writing. It needs to be personally experienced. That's exactly what the rustic apartment in the center of Železná Ruda in the Bohemian Forest offers. It utilizes premium materials such as stone, living moss, and meticulously crafted wood elements from old trees that no longer had the strength to grow or stand. However, they can still bring joy and radiate energy when admired. That is their infinite power.
In the interior, you'll find wooden floors, unique pieces of wood with a distinctive structure that are not commonly sold. Original beams form a significant part of the interior, giving it a captivating feel and a connection to the place you are in. Just listen to the crackling fire in the fireplace, play a record, step out onto the terrace, and enjoy the view of the entire Bohemian Forest.

The apartment was created through the reconstruction of the original attic of the Javor hotel, which was artistically connected by the handwriting of creator and owner Míra Hejda. Within just a year, experts in stone, glass, and wood processing imprinted the deep Bohemian Forest into every element of the interior - from the three-layer oiled floor to the oak table made from a two-hundred-year-old tree and the mosaic on the walls.
The apartment offers everything necessary for your maximum comfort. Javor is part of a stylish resort where, on the ground floor, you'll find a complete wellness center (pool, whirlpool, sauna world), covered garages, and an elevator. In addition to air conditioning and underfloor heating in the apartment, you have a fully equipped kitchen with AEG appliances, a wine cellar, and a washer with a dryer. In the morning, you can enjoy free Hausbrandt Italian coffee throughout your stay. A comfortable sleep is ensured by top-notch Italian Magniflex mattresses. The steam fireplace, ambient LED interior lighting, TV with Netflix in each room, and a record player will create the perfect atmosphere for evening relaxation. We haven't forgotten about the exterior, where you can exchange experiences from the day by the outdoor designer fireplace or on the terrace with heating.
Premium living with a direct view of the Špičák ski resort and the German "Großer Arber" may be familiar to you from the popular Czech TV series "Stavba není sen." The eight-part television series guides you through the revitalization of the old devastated center of Železná Ruda in the heart of Bohemian Forest. It also includes tips on interesting places in the vicinity that you can use as inspiration for your trips. For more trip tips, scroll down.
Javor Apartment is a place where you wake up to perfect nature. Rocks, views of the entire Bohemian Forest, and restaurants will be a great reward for you. There are more than 200 cross-country tracks in the area - cross-country tracks in the Bohemian Forest National Park and the adjacent Bavarian National Park. You'll find 25 km of downhill slopes. Within walking distance, you have the "Samoty" slope beneath the house. Above the house, there's the "Nad nádražím" lift. From the terrace, you can see the largest Bohemian Forest ski center, "Špičák." There are children's ski schools everywhere. You can also try "Belveder" on the outskirts of Železná Ruda.
From the bedroom, you can see the largest resort on the German side, "Großer Arber" which we recommend trying at least once. The place is about a 10-minute drive away. Parking is free in winter, and we recommend arriving early at 8:30. In the summer, the cable car will also take you up. However, the route can also be walked as a nice summer hike. A beautiful and easy walk around the "Grösser Arbersee" lake is about 2 km. In the summer, you can also rent pedal boats. It's worth visiting two of the most famous glacial lakes in Bohemian Forest - Černé Jezero and Čertovo jezero.
Open doors at the top of Pancíř from the "We love Šumava" association - a clear tourist destination in the summer with a historic cable car to Pancíř that's 50 years old. Note - the last ride is at 3:45 PM, but with a light sports walk uphill, you'll be there in 20 minutes. The restaurant with a lookout tower at the top is open until 8:00 PM, and pancakes with blueberries will be a sweet reward. On the way, we can also recommend the Avalanche restaurant, which is a local gourmet experience.
Environmental center - a Železná Ruda novelty for children and adults right in the center. You'll see everything about the history of Bohemian Forest, interesting places, plants and animals, and the creation of skiing itself. The building is about 300 m from the house - in the center of Železná Ruda, next to the supermarket, and admission is free. In the information center on the ground floor, you'll get all the information about attractions in the area and tourist stamps. Among the favorite cycling destinations of Bohemian Forest visitors is undoubtedly the Špičák Bike Park, including the ski area. If bikes aren't your thing, you can head to Prášilské jezero or the cable car center Nad nádražím.

Dream Apartments have emerged from my visions and dreams of unique living for absolute relaxation in the mountains. These are places I visited as a child and later returned to as an adult. At the same time, the story of these apartments brought life back to years-decaying buildings. I designed the interior in harmony with the location, but it always involves handcrafted wood from old trees, complemented by modern elements of architecture and design. You can see this in the series "Stavba není sen" on TV Bydlení, which meticulously mapped the journey of each apartment.
Enjoy a wonderful time here with your loved ones. That's exactly what Dream Apartments were created for.
